Michael Coleman Obituary, Death; Windsor Locks man charged in April shooting that killed Hartford man, police say

Michael Coleman Obituary, Death; – A man from Windsor Locks has been charged in relation to a shooting that resulted in the death of a 50-year-old man from the city on April 1, according to police reports.

Wegmans has officially opened its first location in Connecticut, situated in Norwalk, marking the grocery superstore’s entry into the state.

According to Hartford police Lt. Aaron Boisvert, Denton Young, aged 38, has been charged with murder and was taken into custody on Wednesday morning.

The shooting took place in the 80 block of Vine Street shortly before 7 p.m. on April 1, Boisvert stated. Upon their arrival, officers found the victim, later identified as Michael Coleman, unresponsive and injured in the street.

Boisvert mentioned that Coleman was taken to a local hospital, where he subsequently passed away.

“Throughout the investigation, a suspect was identified,” Boisvert noted. “Probable cause was established, and a judge from the superior court approved an arrest warrant for the suspect, Denton Young.”

Young is currently being held on a bond of $2 million, Boisvert confirmed.
