Linetta Wells Obituary, Death; – The Lancaster County Coroner’s Office has identified a 56-year-old woman who tragically lost her life while serving as a construction flagger in Manor Township earlier this week.

Linetta Wells, a resident of Pottstown, was struck by an SUV at approximately 7:30 a.m. on Thursday while she was directing traffic for road construction on Stone Mill Road, near Plymouth Road, according to the coroner’s office. The office arrived at the scene around 8:09 a.m. and discovered Wells in the roadway; she was pronounced dead at 8:38 a.m., as stated in the press release.

An autopsy has been conducted, but the determination of Wells’ cause and manner of death remains pending as of Friday afternoon. The coroner’s office, along with law enforcement, has not provided additional details regarding the incident, including the SUV’s direction of travel or the reasons the driver failed to notice Wells.
