Kevin de Jesus,Aidan Moreno Obituary, Death;- Two teenagers who died in an early Sunday morning crash in Cleveland have been identified.
Cleveland officers were called to the Interstate 77 North and Interstate 90 East/East 9th Street/Ontario split just after 1:15 a.m. for reports of a crash.
The driver and two passengers were flung from the vehicle, according to Cleveland police. One 18-year-old was declared dead at the scene and another 18-year-old was pronounced dead at a hospital.
Painesville police said a 17-year-old boy also involved in the crash was seriously injured.
The two who died have been identified as Kevin de Jesus and Aidan Moreno by the Painesville Police Department. Moreno and de Jesus had recently graduated from Harvey High School in Painesville and the third person is a current student.
“Kevin was a member of the Harvey soccer team and Aidan was a Harvey wrestler,” Painesville police said in a Facebook statement. “Our thoughts are also with the recovering third student and his family.”
Cleveland police said they believed speed factored into the crash.
Support services for those affected by the tragedy are being held at Harvey High School Wednesday from 9 p.m. to 5 p.m. with help from Lake County Trauma Response team.
A memorial is being held for the two 18-year-olds at Painesville’s St. Mary’s Church Thursday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., with mass following. Find out more right here.
