Kee Juan D Middleton,Shariff A King Obituary, Death; – A man has been apprehended and charged in relation to a shooting incident that resulted in the deaths of two individuals and left another injured last month in Cross.
Devin Reakwon Dantzler, 28, from Cross, was taken into custody on Tuesday in Columbia. He faces multiple charges, including two counts of murder, attempted murder, first-degree burglary, and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime, as reported by the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office.
On November 26, law enforcement officials responded to a call regarding a shooting at a residence on Spires Landing Road. Upon arrival, deputies discovered two victims who had sustained gunshot wounds and were pronounced dead at the scene.
An additional victim was located and subsequently transported to a local hospital for medical attention, according to the sheriff’s office. The Berkeley County Coroner’s Office has identified the deceased victims as Kee Juan D. Middleton, 25, and Shariff A. King, 16.
Berkeley County Sheriff Duane Lewis remarked, “Our detectives were able to immediately identify a person of interest in the shooting and they began working leads on the suspect that same night. This case exemplifies how collaboration with other agencies can facilitate the swift apprehension of offenders. Dantzler is currently being extradited back to Berkeley County.”
