John Zimmerman Obituary, Death; – An elderly individual was fatally injured in a hit-and-run incident early Thursday morning near Dutch Wonderland in Lancaster County, as reported by law enforcement officials.
The Lancaster County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim as John Zimmerman, a 72-year-old resident of Lancaster, who was struck by a vehicle at 4:09 a.m. in the 2200 block of Lincoln Highway East/Route 30.
Zimmerman was temporarily residing in the area but was previously a resident of Lititz. According to the East Lampeter Township police, Zimmerman was not utilizing the crosswalk at the time of the accident.
The cause of death is currently undetermined pending further investigation. “We are reviewing any available video footage from businesses along Lincoln Highway and are seeking witnesses,” stated Lt.
