Jesus Garcia Obituary, Death; – We are gaining further insights into the individual who lost his life alongside a veteran sergeant of the Los Angeles police during a collision on the 405 Freeway last week.
The individual, recognized as 34-year-old Jesus Garcia, was positioned outside his vehicle following a single-car accident in the southbound lanes of the freeway near Moraga Drive. Sgt. Shiou Deng arrived at the scene to provide assistance, and as he exited his patrol vehicle, he was struck and killed by another vehicle. Garcia was also fatally hit by the oncoming car.
Two fatalities occurred, including that of a Los Angeles police sergeant, in a collision on the 405 Freeway that necessitated the closure of all southbound lanes for several hours.
Garcia succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Deng was transported to the hospital where he later passed away.
A GoFundMe campaign has been established to support Garcia’s family in arranging his funeral. The campaign states that he was a “devoted son, brother, uncle, and friend.”
The driver responsible for striking both victims has been identified as Mario Bickham. He also suffered significant injuries in the incident but has not yet been arrested or charged.
