Jeremy Mouzon Obituary, Death; – A man lost his life after being stabbed multiple times and subsequently struck by a vehicle near NoDa in the early hours of Sunday morning, as reported by the police.
Jeremy Mouzon, aged 44, has been identified as the deceased individual.
Incident Details
The events reportedly transpired around 3 a.m. on Sunday, August 3, along Redwood Avenue close to East Sugar Creek Road in the northeast area of Charlotte.
According to police, they responded to a Medic assist call for service and, upon their arrival, discovered Mouzon suffering from severe, life-threatening injuries. He was promptly transported to the hospital by paramedics, where he was reported to have died later.
A police report indicated that Mouzon had been stabbed multiple times and was also hit by a vehicle. The car that struck Mouzon was not present at the scene when officers arrived.
Further reports indicated that upon locating Mouzon’s apartment, officers observed signs of a break-in, suggesting that an initial assault had occurred there.
Current Status of the Investigation
The fatal incident, which was initially classified as a “death investigation,” has since been reclassified as a “homicide investigation.”
As of the time of this report, no arrests have been made.
