Jeremy Bingham Obituary, Death; – Four of the six individuals who lost their lives in the crash of a small Cessna plane into the ocean off Sunset Cliffs on Sunday have been identified through a fundraising campaign as members of the same family from Arizona.

A verified GoFundMe campaign has confirmed that Jeremy Bingham and his three adult sons — Bailey, Gavin, and Ayden — were on board the aircraft at the time of the incident. The other two fatalities included the pilot and his pregnant spouse, as stated in the campaign, although their names were not disclosed.

“This tragic loss has left a grieving family behind,” wrote organizer Hope Lofgreen from Thatcher, Arizona, in the campaign. “These four remarkable men were taken from us far too early, and their absence creates a void that is beyond words.”

As per the GoFundMe details, Jeremy is survived by his wife and daughter, while Bailey had a 9-month-old son and was looking forward to celebrating his first Father’s Day. Ayden was engaged to be married.

The funds raised will be allocated to support the family.
“Jeremy was a cornerstone of strength for both his family and community. He was selfless, diligent, and perpetually generous — a person who would abandon everything to assist anyone in need,” the campaign stated.

Bailey was characterized as a “devoted new father” who possessed “a calm, patient demeanor with an enormous heart,” always prioritizing family and friends.

Gavin was portrayed as “highly motivated and self-sufficient, yet remarkably compassionate,” ensuring that “everyone felt cherished and acknowledged.” Ayden was described as “the life of the party,” illuminating every space with his enthusiasm and infectious laughter, approaching life with “commitment and zeal,” according to the campaign.

The twin-engine Cessna crashed around 12:30 p.m. on Sunday shortly after departing from San Diego International Airport, following the pilot’s report to an air traffic controller that he was “struggling” to ascend to a higher altitude. The controller attempted to redirect him to Naval Air Station North Island, located approximately a mile away, before the aircraft went down.

A search for survivors was halted on Tuesday morning after the Coast Guard…
