Gloria Zamora,Hector Garduno Obituary, Death; – A woman undergoing a divorce and her companion were fatally shot outside a sushi restaurant in California over the weekend. Subsequently, an off-duty sheriff’s deputy fatally shot the alleged gunman.
According to investigators, the woman’s estranged husband located her before shooting her and her companion in the parking lot in Fontana, California.
Gloria Zamora, a social media influencer and fitness coach, motivated busy women to achieve and maintain fitness. However, beneath the strength she displayed on camera, her personal life was suffering. Just a week ago, Zamora discussed her impending divorce with her thousands of followers on the Horizon podcast.
On Saturday night, 40-year-old Zamora and 43-year-old Hector Garduno were shot and killed outside a restaurant on Summit Avenue. “There was a male and a female that were estranged; they were going through a divorce, which led to this,” stated Officer Steve Reed from the Fontana Police Department.
Investigators report that Zamora’s estranged husband, Thomas Alberto Tamayo Lizarraga, shot the couple in the parking lot. “We are unsure how he knew her location, but it appears she had been at the restaurant for about an hour before the shooting,” Reed mentioned.
The shooting drew the attention of several off-duty law enforcement officers nearby who responded to the sound of gunfire, including an off-duty sheriff’s deputy from San Bernardino County.
“Evidently, he was driving on the street outside the shopping center, heard the gunshots, witnessed the incident, made a U-turn at the traffic light, exited his vehicle, and confronted the suspect,” Reed explained.
Lizarraga was shot and killed during this confrontation.
