Eli Leeson Obituary, – A tragic incident occurred on Thursday morning, resulting in one fatality and one injury following a crash on GA 112 near York Road in Worth County. On August 29, at approximately 12:05 a.m., troopers from the Georgia State Patrol (GSP) were called to the scene of a deadly single-vehicle accident.
As reported by GSP, the vehicle was traveling eastbound on GA 112 when it veered off the roadway. Subsequently, it struck a ditch, became airborne, collided with an embankment, ascended into the air once more, and ultimately crashed into a tree. The vehicle came to an uncontrolled halt on its driver’s side.
The driver was declared deceased at the scene. Worth County Deputy Coroner Jimmy Nelms informed news outlets that the deceased driver was identified as 18-year-old Eli Leeson. According to GSP, the passenger was transported to Phoebe Main with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
