Edgar Gonzalez Obituary, Death; – Authorities have confirmed the identity of a man from Los Angeles who tragically lost his life in an ATV accident at the El Mirage Off-Highway Vehicle Area over the weekend.
Edgar Gonzalez, aged 55, succumbed to injuries sustained in the incident involving a four-wheeled motorcycle near the intersection of Bella Vista Drive and Mountain View Road, as reported by officials from the California Highway Patrol and the San Bernardino County coroner’s office.
The collision is believed to have occurred around 11 p.m. on Friday, November 1, but it was not discovered until approximately 9 a.m. the following morning by a Search and Rescue team from San Bernardino County, according to a statement from CHP officials. Gonzalez was operating a 2005 Yamaha YFM660 while traveling southeast across the dry lakebed at an undetermined speed.
“Details surrounding the incident are still being investigated, but it appears the rider lost control of the Yamaha, which collided with a raised dirt mound, resulting in the vehicle overturning and the rider being partially ejected,” stated CHP officials.
