Deshawn Patrick Jones Obituary, Death; – WSMV4 Investigates has uncovered new information regarding the fatal shooting of a man by a DEA agent in Nashville.
The incident took place in April, but WSMV4 has now verified that the federal agent from the DEA shot the individual nine times, with three of those shots hitting him in the back.
The deceased has been identified as Deshawn Patrick Jones, and the autopsy reveals that he was also shot twice in the buttocks and twice in the chest.
Although neither the police nor the DEA are providing comments on the ongoing investigation, family members assert that Jones was unarmed at the time of the incident.
Jones was fatally shot on April 16 on 29th Avenue North. The DEA has stated that the shooting occurred during a large-scale drug trafficking operation.
