Derrick I Elder Obituary, Death; – Kansas City police are conducting an investigation following the discovery of a man who was shot to death inside a vehicle in Brookside on Saturday night.
The individual was located near East Gregory Boulevard and Main Street in the Brookside area shortly after 10:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Upon the arrival of officers, they encountered a vehicle that had come to a stop at the intersection. Inside, they found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, as reported by KCPD.
Emergency Medical Services (EMS) arrived at the scene and declared the victim deceased. Authorities suspect that the victim was shot by occupants of another vehicle passing by. The victim has been identified by police as 22-year-old Derrick I. Elder.
Currently, no individuals are in custody regarding this incident.
