DeAndre Gooden Obituary, Death; – Several arrests have been made following a fatal shooting that occurred at Dupree Park in Jacksonville earlier this month.
According to reports, on July 17, officers from the Jacksonville Police Department responded to reports of a shooting at the park, which is situated near the playground area at 1700 South Redmond Road.
As the police were en route to the scene, reports indicate they observed a black passenger vehicle that had collided at the intersection of West Main Street and T.P. White Drive.
After investigating the crash, police concluded that the driver had sustained gunshot wounds during the incident at Dupree Park.
The victim, later identified as De’Andre Gooden from Jacksonville, was transported to a nearby hospital, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
Approximately one day after the tragic event, 20-year-old Jamie Williams from Jacksonville and 20-year-old Mersade Palmer from North Little Rock were apprehended and charged with capital murder for their involvement.
On July 26, 2025, 20-year-old Kyland Rogers and 19-year-old David Brooks Jr. from North Little Rock surrendered to authorities and were also arrested and charged with capital murder.
