David Sears Obituary, Death; – The Lake County Coroner’s Office has confirmed the identity of a man who tragically lost his life after being pinned beneath a vehicle while conducting maintenance work on Tuesday evening in Beach Park.
David Sears, 56, a resident of Beach Park, was fatally injured when a vehicle, which he was likely servicing, rolled backward off a ramp and trapped him underneath. This unfortunate event occurred in the driveway of Sears’ residence located in the 3500 block of North Lewis Avenue at approximately 7:10 p.m. on Tuesday, as stated in a news release from the Lake County Coroner’s Office.
Initial findings from an autopsy indicate that Sears succumbed to traumatic asphyxia and blunt force injuries resulting from the incident.
The investigation into the cause of Sears’ death is still ongoing.
