Darryl R Smith Obituary, Death; – The Washoe County Regional Medical Examiner’s Office has confirmed the identity of the individual who lost their life in a shooting incident on West 2nd Street in Reno. The deceased has been identified as Darryl R. Smith, a 43-year-old resident of Reno.
The Reno Police Department received a report of gunfire in the vicinity of West 2nd Street and Roth Way at approximately 3:15 PM on October 20. Upon their arrival, officers found two men who had sustained gunshot wounds.
One of the individuals succumbed to his injuries, while the other was taken to the hospital in critical condition. The investigation into this incident is ongoing, led by the Reno Police Department’s Robbery Homicide Unit.
