Daniel L Westrich Obituary, Death; – A man from Canton lost his life on Sunday morning after being struck by a vehicle from the Ohio State Highway Patrol on I-71 in Medina County.
As per a news release issued by OSHP, troopers were dispatched at approximately 4:45 a.m. in response to reports of a man walking in the northbound lanes of the interstate, situated between State Route 83 and the Interstate 76 interchange in Westfield Township.
At around 5 a.m., the man was hit by a marked cruiser from OSHP and was declared dead at the scene, according to the news release.
The deceased has been identified as 27-year-old Daniel L. Westrich.
No additional injuries have been reported. The incident is currently under investigation.
