Christopher Rashad Riles Obituary, Death; – A 32-year-old man was shot and killed Saturday night in a residential area of Southwest Washington, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.
The shooting occurred shortly before 8:30 p.m. in the 100 block of Irvington Street SW. Officers from MPD’s Seventh District responded after neighbors reported hearing gunfire in the area.
Police identified the individual as Christopher Rashad Riles, 32, of Southwest D.C. Officials have not released information about what may have led to the shooting or whether anyone has been detained. As of Sunday, no arrests had been made.
The shooting happened on a residential street near apartment complexes and local schools. Police cordoned off the area for several hours Saturday night as detectives canvassed the neighborhood for witnesses and collected evidence. This case remains under investigation.
