Christine E Livingston Obituary, Death; – Lorain police have confirmed the identity of the woman who tragically lost her life in a traffic accident on October 8 at the intersection of Broadway and 28th Street.
Christine E. Livingston, a 70-year-old resident of Lorain, succumbed to her injuries after being struck by a vehicle while she was walking, as reported in a news release from the Lorain Police Department. At approximately 9:15 p.m., the Traffic Bureau of the Lorain Police Department responded to the scene of the incident at the intersection of Broadway and East 28th Street.
The investigation revealed that Livingston was in the process of crossing Broadway at East 28th when she was hit by a driver making a southbound turn onto Broadway, according to the release. Emergency medical personnel from LifeCare Ambulance transported Livingston to Mercy Health — Lorain Hospital, where she later passed away due to her injuries, as stated in the release.
The area was closed to traffic for around three hours while authorities conducted their investigation and collected evidence from the scene. The Police Department had previously issued a request for public assistance in identifying the woman.
“The Lorain Police Department extends its condolences to the family and friends of Ms. Livingston and appreciates the public’s assistance in her swift identification,” the release noted. No charges have yet been filed in connection with the incident, which remains under active investigation, as indicated in the release.
