Carly Holubik Obituary, Death; – A woman who lost her life in a multi-vehicle accident on Thursday has been named.

Carly Holubik, 32, from Richmond Hill, was fatally injured in Bloomingdale, as reported by the Effingham County Sheriff’s Office. The crash occurred shortly after 7:30 a.m., when deputies found that a fully loaded concrete truck collided with the rear of a small sedan, leading to multiple subsequent collisions.

“We are profoundly saddened by the tragic passing of Mrs. Carly Holubik, a devoted eighth-grade teacher who dedicated the past three years to the students and staff at South Effingham Middle School and Guyton Elementary Schools STARS Staff,” stated Effingham County Superintendent Yancy Ford. “She was a respected educator, a loving mother, and a treasured member of our ECSD family. Her influence on the lives of those she touched will always be remembered.

We invite our community to join us in offering prayers for her husband, sons, extended family, students, and the entire SEMS faculty and staff during this challenging time.” The ECSO is urging anyone with relevant information to reach out to the traffic unit at 912-754-3449. The investigation is still ongoing.
