Carlos Posada Obituary, Death; – On Monday, authorities disclosed the identity of a pedestrian who lost his life in a hit-and-run incident in Sylmar.
The victim, identified as 29-year-old Carlos Posada, was involved in the collision that took place around 9:45 p.m. on Sunday, near the intersection of Polk Street and DeGarmo Avenue, as reported by the Los Angeles County medical examiner’s office. Information regarding his residence was not immediately accessible.
According to an LAPD spokesperson, officers from the Los Angeles Police Department gathered information from witnesses indicating that a vehicle traveling eastbound on Polk struck the victim and did not stop at the scene, as reported to City News Service.
Personnel from the Los Angeles Fire Department were summoned and declared Posada deceased at the scene, according to police reports.
