Caleb Quick Obituary, Death; – Two individuals have been apprehended in connection with the shooting that resulted in the death of 18-year-old Caleb Quick outside a McDonald’s in Clovis last month. Action News has reported that a male juvenile was taken into custody on murder charges after being surrendered to Clovis police by his attorney at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
Additionally, a female juvenile was also handed over to the police on unspecified charges. The incident occurred on the evening of April 23 at the establishment located at the intersection of Willow and Nees. Quick had visited McDonald’s to meet friends following a day spent at the Clovis Rodeo. Authorities have released surveillance footage showing the suspect loitering for 13 minutes before approaching Quick and opening fire outside the restaurant.
Law enforcement had been actively searching for the shooter, who fled the scene in a white Tesla. This vehicle, believed to be involved in the crime, was confiscated by police from a residence in Clovis on Tuesday. A 16-year-old girl was interrogated at the location and subsequently released the same day. The motive behind the shooting remains unclear at this time. Clovis police are scheduled to hold a press conference on Saturday to provide further details.
