Brooke Mejeur Obituary, Death; – An 11-year-old girl lost her life after being hit by a boat propeller in Palm Beach County over the weekend.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) reported that officers were dispatched to Lake Osborne in response to a boating accident on November 2. According to the preliminary investigation, a 20-foot pontoon boat was carrying two adults and three minors when the front of the vessel unexpectedly dipped.
One of the minors, identified as 11-year-old Brooke Mejeur, was ejected from the pontoon and fell into the water. Tragically, she was struck by the boat’s propeller, as stated by the FWC.
Brooke was retrieved from the lake and brought to shore, but unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries. The FWC indicated that the investigation is ongoing and expressed its condolences to the family and friends of Brooke Mejeur during this profoundly challenging time.
