Brandon Stennett Obituary, Death; – A 36-year-old man was shot and killed in the Westlake District on Tuesday, prompting an investigation into the incident.
Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Rampart Division responded to a call at approximately 3 a.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Wilshire Boulevard and Westlake Avenue concerning a shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered the victim lying near the intersection, as reported by an officer to City News Service.
The victim was declared dead at the scene by paramedics from the Los Angeles Fire Department. He was subsequently identified by the Los Angeles County Office of Medical Examiner as Brandon Stennett.
Witnesses informed the police that a potential suspect was observed fleeing west on Wilshire. The investigation into the shooting is being conducted by the West Bureau Homicide Unit of the department, according to police.
