Barbara Brandt Obituary, Death; – A woman from Nebraska lost her life following a collision in Otoe County on Thursday evening. At approximately 7:39 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the scene of a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Highway 2 and County Road 20, according to the Otoe County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators reported that a Buick Enclave traveling south was crossing Highway 2 when it was struck by a westbound Dodge Caliber on Highway 2. The driver of the Buick Enclave, 75-year-old Barbara Brandt from Unadilla, was transported to a nearby hospital where she was pronounced deceased, as stated by authorities.
The driver of the Dodge Caliber was also taken to a local hospital, suffering from injuries that were not life-threatening. Authorities confirmed that there were no passengers in either vehicle and that both drivers were wearing seat belts. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
