Anthony Fascendini Obituary, Death; – Authorities have identified the pedestrian who tragically lost his life after being struck by a vehicle on Sunday evening as a resident of Plainville.
According to police reports, Anthony Fascendini, aged 62, was struck on E. Bartlett Barnes Highway, also known as Route 72, at the intersection with Lincoln Avenue around 6 p.m. on Sunday. He was subsequently transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced deceased, as stated by Bristol Police Lt. Patrick Krajewski on Monday. The driver involved, a 61-year-old individual from Plainville, remained at the scene and is fully cooperating with the ongoing investigation, Krajewski noted.
The Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team from the Bristol Police Department was dispatched to the scene to conduct a thorough examination. The roadway was reopened after several hours, according to Krajewski.
