Angel Ramirez Obituary, Death; – The Merced County Sheriff’s Office has identified the individual who was shot on March 22 as 24-year-old Angel Ramirez from Winton. Law enforcement officials arrived at the scene in the 7100 block of Bobbi Avenue at 7:30 p.m. following reports of a man bleeding outside a residence.
Ramirez sustained a gunshot wound to the head and was subsequently declared dead at the hospital. According to deputies, the shooting occurred during a gathering at the residence attended by both the suspect and the victim. A 17-year-old has been detained in juvenile hall on charges of murder, while 20-year-old Jerardo Ochoa-Aguilar, also from Winton, has been arrested for being an accessory to murder.
