Alexander Neland Obituary, Death; – Authorities have confirmed the identity of the motorcyclist who lost his life in a collision last week in Granger as 39-year-old Alexander Neland from South Bend. The incident occurred last Thursday at approximately 5 p.m. on State Road 23 at the intersection with Birch Road.
According to investigators, a 56-year-old woman from South Bend was trying to make a left turn onto State Road 23 from Birch when she inadvertently turned into the path of a motorcycle operated by Neland.
Neland succumbed to his injuries at the scene, while the woman sustained only minor injuries. The St. Joseph County Fatal Crash Team is continuing to investigate the incident.
