Alexander Ayres Obituary, Death; – Las Vegas police apprehended a man in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred downtown on Saturday night.
The individual is accused of fatally shooting his neighbor near the intersection of West Chicago Avenue and South Industrial Road. According to Metro, a report of the shooting was received shortly after 9 p.m.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a male victim in the courtyard who had sustained gunshot wounds. He was immediately transported to UMC, where he later succumbed to his injuries. Authorities have identified 47-year-old Alexander Ayres as the suspect in this case.
Detectives report that the victim exited his apartment and was shot shortly thereafter by Ayres, who has been charged with open murder with a deadly weapon and additional felony offenses, and is currently held at the Clark County Detention Center.
