Adan Sanchez Obituary, Death; – A 20-year-old man was fatally shot in West Dallas early Thursday morning, according to police reports. The individual believed to be the shooter reportedly inflicted a gunshot wound on themselves after being approached by law enforcement.
Authorities responded to the scene on the 3300 block of Ingersoll Street just before 4 a.m., where they discovered Adan Sanchez, 20, suffering from gunshot wounds, as stated in a press release.
Dallas Fire-Rescue personnel arrived and pronounced Sanchez dead at the location, officials confirmed. The suspected shooter fled the scene prior to the arrival of the police but was located shortly afterward approximately one mile away on the 4800 block of Bernal Drive.
Upon confrontation by the officers, the suspect shot themselves and was subsequently transported to a hospital in critical condition, according to officials. Further details regarding the shooting and the identity of the suspect have not been released at this time.
