Aaron Blount Obituary, Death; – The Mesa County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) has provided an update concerning an incident that took place in mid-January. On Sunday, January 19th, both the Grand Junction Police Department and the MCSO were called to the scene of an assault that resulted in one individual sustaining life-threatening injuries.
During the incident, the suspect discharged a firearm at the responding officers, who subsequently returned fire. A few hours later, the suspect was found deceased.
The 21st Judicial District Critical Incident Response Team has identified the suspect as 46-year-old Aaron Blount from Grand Junction. The coroner’s office has determined that the cause of death was a gunshot wound to the torso. The investigation into the incident is ongoing, and no additional information is available at this time.
