Ariana Molina Obituary – A man has been formally charged in connection with a tragic mass shooting that occurred in the Back of the Yards neighborhood of Chicago in April. Octaviano Romero, aged 39, faces one count of first-degree murder along with ten counts of attempted murder.
On April 13, a shooting at a family gathering resulted in the death of 9-year-old Ariana Molina and injuries to ten others, including three additional children. Ariana’s father, Jose Molina, reported that all the victims were relatives who were celebrating his sister’s confirmation. Ariana was shot in the head while playing in the front yard, and her mother sustained a gunshot wound to the back.
Additionally, his two nephews, aged 1 and 7, were among the injured. Authorities indicated that the adult victims’ ages ranged from 19 to 40. Romero made an appearance in court for a detention hearing on Monday.
