Tyler McClure Vance Obituary, Death; – A fatal incident occurred in Watauga County on Wednesday when an individual was struck by a truck, as reported by the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
The collision took place at approximately 6:15 p.m. on US 321, close to Frank Hodges Drive in Sugar Grove. Authorities indicated that a driver operating a 1999 Ford Ranger was traveling westbound on US 321 when the accident transpired.
At the time of the incident, it was raining, and the roadway lacked adequate lighting. The Highway Patrol noted that the victim was dressed in dark attire.
The deceased has been identified as 39-year-old Tyler McClure Vance from Butler, Tennessee. The driver of the truck did not sustain any injuries. Preliminary investigations revealed no indications of impairment or excessive speed on the part of the driver. Officials have stated that no charges are anticipated.
