Shawn Yim Obituary, Death; – A bus driver for King County Metro, identified as 59-year-old Shawn Yim, was fatally stabbed early Wednesday morning in proximity to the University of Washington campus. According to the Seattle Police, the incident occurred shortly before 3 AM during a confrontation with a passenger on the bus route that connects the University District and Eastlake neighborhoods.
In the immediate aftermath, both Seattle Police and the King County Sheriff’s Office conducted a search for the assailant but were unable to apprehend him. The University of Washington police described the suspect as approximately 6 feet 1 inch tall and wearing a blue jacket at the time of the incident. Additionally, on Monday night, Seattle Fire responded to an emergency at the University District light rail station, where a man with multiple stab wounds was found. He later succumbed to his injuries, which were determined to be self-inflicted.
