Rogelio Llanas Obituary, Death; – A 48-year-old man, identified by San Antonio police as the suspect in a road-rage incident on the South Side, has been confirmed deceased by the Medical Examiner’s Office.

The Medical Examiner reported that Rogelio Llanas succumbed to cranial and cerebral injuries. These injuries were sustained during a rollover crash that resulted from a road-rage altercation on Sunday.

Prior to the incident, police indicated that Llanas was involved in a dispute with another group at the Poteet Flea Market. Although they eventually departed, the animosity persisted onto the roadway, where Llanas began colliding with the other group’s vehicle, according to police reports.

Despite multiple attempts by the other group to change lanes, Llanas executed a Precision Immobilization Technique (PIT) maneuver, which caused the vehicles to become entangled and subsequently roll over on the Southeast Loop 410 access road, just before Roosevelt Avenue. Upon police arrival, they discovered Llanas, a 38-year-old man, and his two children, aged 9 and 14, all with injuries. Both vehicles were deemed totaled.

Emergency Medical Services treated both groups and transported them for medical attention. Llanas, who was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, later died, as reported by the police. The conditions of the man and the children remain unknown.
