Nancy Trejo Torrez,Silverio Acebedo Obituary, Death; – On Tuesday, December 17, at approximately 2:30 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a residence located in the 5800 block of Martin Highway following reports of two unresponsive adults. Upon their arrival, deputies found two deceased individuals within the home.
The deceased have been identified as Nancy Trejo Torrez, aged 40, and Silverio Acebedo, aged 43. Preliminary indications suggest that the incident may involve a murder-suicide. Captain Scott Watkins of the Obion County Sheriff’s Department stated, “It appears to be a domestic violence situation that escalated.” He further noted that the investigation is ongoing.
Watkins mentioned that the department has not yet determined the factors that led to the incident or the nature of the relationship between Torrez and Acebedo. He confirmed that a firearm was involved but refrained from disclosing further information regarding the weapon.
