Steven L. Williams Obituary, Death; – A 22-year-old individual was fatally shot early Monday at a gas station in Palmer, resulting in the arrest of another 22-year-old on murder charges, according to law enforcement officials.
Authorities received reports of gunfire at the Speedway Express station located off the Glenn Highway shortly after 12:40 a.m., as stated in a release from the Palmer Police Department. Upon arrival, officers discovered a man, later identified as Steven L. Williams, who had succumbed to apparent gunshot wounds.
The suspect, identified as 22-year-old Isaac D. Breshaw, was also a resident of Palmer. Police characterized the shooting as “an isolated incident” and assured the public that there was no ongoing threat. Breshaw faces charges of first-degree murder and tampering with evidence, as reported by the police.
Detective Sergeant Luke Szipszky, a spokesperson for the police, refrained from providing further details on Monday morning, including whether the two men were acquainted or the circumstances surrounding the shooting. The investigation received assistance from the Alaska State Troopers and members of the Wasilla Police Department.
