Kasey Ramthun Obituary, Death; – A teenager has lost their life following a collision involving two vehicles in Wood County. As reported by the Wood County Sheriff’s Department, the incident occurred on December 13, 2024, at approximately 5:40 p.m. The authorities were dispatched to the intersection of U.S. Highway 10 and County Highway P in the Town of Auburndale to respond to the crash.
The investigation indicates that a vehicle with two occupants was traveling northbound across U.S. Highway 10 when it failed to yield at a stop sign, resulting in a collision with an SUV proceeding west on U.S. Highway 10. Both drivers were transported to Marshfield Medical Center with injuries that were not life-threatening. Tragically, the passenger in the car was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation into the incident is ongoing. The deceased teenager has been identified as 17-year-old Kasey Ramthun from Vesper, Wisconsin.
