Ashley Nikol Dodson,Casey Wayne Holt Arrested; – A man and woman from Upstate were apprehended on Wednesday following a traffic stop in Oconee County.
Ashley Nikol Dodson, 26, and Casey Wayne Holt, 28, both residents of Westminster, face charges of trafficking methamphetamine and possession of a weapon during a violent crime, stemming from an investigation initiated on Lee Pine Drive.
At approximately 8 p.m., a deputy from the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office noticed a blue Ford Mustang that was displaying a license plate registered to a Jeep Liberty on West-Oak Highway near Highway 11.
The deputy approached the driver, later identified as Holt, who had two passengers in the vehicle, one of whom was Dodson. A check by law enforcement revealed that the vehicle lacked insurance and did not have a registered tag.
Upon searching the vehicle, deputies discovered a quantity of methamphetamine and a firearm. Additionally, deputies found more methamphetamine in Holt’s possession, along with another firearm and various narcotics in Dodson’s possession.
The other passenger was released at the scene. In total, law enforcement seized approximately 43 grams of drugs during the traffic stop. Both Holt and Dodson were subsequently booked into the Oconee County Detention Center, each under a bond of $30,000.
