Jonathan Darden,Kaylyn Samuels Obituary, Death; – DeKalb County Police have disclosed the identities of the individuals who lost their lives in a murder-suicide incident that occurred at an apartment complex on Saturday. The alleged perpetrator has been named as 32-year-old Jonathan Darden.
As reported by DeKalb County Police, Darden was in a relationship with 43-year-old Mollian Johnson, who also succumbed to the violence. Authorities have also released the names of her child and grandchildren: 26-year-old Kaylyn Samuels, along with her two children, 5-year-old Jedorah Powell and 1-year-old Jonatavious Powell. Police have stated that all five individuals resided together at the same location. On Monday, law enforcement officials indicated that a motive has not yet been established; however, they previously classified the incident as domestic-related. The situation came to light when police conducted a welfare check at the Vineyards at Flat Shoals complex, leading to the unfortunate discovery. The investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
