William Dean Obituary, Death; Medical examiner identifies man, 39, killed in Seagoville shooting, records show

William Dean Obituary, Death; – A man who was fatally shot near a park in Seagoville has been identified by the Dallas County medical examiner’s office, according to official records.

On December 2, at approximately 5:50 p.m., Seagoville police responded to a report in the 600 block of Fountain Drive. Upon arrival, officers discovered a man with a gunshot wound to his torso, seated on the ground at a gazebo. The man was conscious at the time and was transported to a hospital, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries despite receiving medical care. The medical examiner’s office later identified the victim as William Dean, aged 39.

According to police, a witness observed the victim and another male individual inside a blue Hyundai vehicle. The witness reported hearing gunfire and subsequently saw both men exit the car. Dean managed to run approximately 60 feet to the gazebo, while the other male, designated as a “suspect” in the police report, fled the scene. The report did not indicate whether any arrests have been made. Seagoville police are urging anyone with information regarding the shooting to reach out to them at 972-287-2999.
