Jana Denise Himes, aged 48, and Gabriel Himes, aged 45, were located in a wooded area near Yohne Road by construction workers. Authorities suspect that the couple’s vehicle failed to navigate a curve due to excessive speed, resulting in a straight trajectory.
It is believed that the vehicle may have become airborne, as a large tree in the crash’s path showed signs of having been broken, as reported by the Allen County Sheriff’s Office. The deaths of the couple have been classified as accidental, with blunt force injuries cited as the cause. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
