Jeffrey Schopp Obituary, Death; – The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office has confirmed the identity of the individual who was fatally shot by a San Antonio police officer on Tuesday.

Jeffrey Schopp, aged 33, succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds, as reported by the medical examiner’s office to KSAT. The incident occurred at approximately 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday in the 8500 block of Jones Maltsberger Road.

San Antonio Police Department Chief William McManus stated that an officer attempted to engage Schopp, who subsequently fled on foot. According to police reports from Wednesday, the pursuit traversed a field, and Schopp approached a drainage ditch while brandishing a firearm towards another assisting officer.
