Sabrina Voeller Obituary, Death; – A woman discovered deceased at the Pierce County Jail on September 30 has been identified by the Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office. Sabrina Voeller, aged 35, succumbed to “acute fentanyl and methamphetamine toxicity,” with her death classified as accidental, according to a statement from the Medical Examiner’s Office.

Corrections deputies from the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department found an unresponsive inmate in one of the jail’s housing units around 9:30 a.m., as reported by The News Tribune, referencing a release from the sheriff’s department. The deputies attempted CPR and administered Narcan, but the woman was ultimately pronounced dead. At that time, they were unaware if she had consumed any illegal substances, prompting detectives to initiate an investigation, as stated by sheriff’s spokesperson Sgt. Darren Moss to The News Tribune.

In a phone conversation on December 4, Moss indicated that Voeller was booked into the Pierce County Jail shortly after midnight on September 29, suggesting that she may have ingested the drugs prior to her arrival at the facility. He advised The News Tribune to seek public records related to the investigation from South Sound 911, and the request is currently pending.
