Aspen Lewis Obituary, Death; Missing Missouri mother found dead, boyfriend charged with murder: police

Aspen Lewis Obituary, Death; – A woman from Missouri who had been reported missing has been found deceased, leading to the arrest of her boyfriend on murder charges related to her death.

The Barry County Sheriff’s Office has identified Aaron Malone, 23, as the individual charged with the murder of his girlfriend, Aspen Lewis, 24. Court documents acquired by FOX 4 Kansas City indicate that Malone contacted the Barry County Sheriff’s deputies on Monday, November 25, to report a potential abduction of Lewis.

Upon their arrival at the scene, investigators discovered a significant blood stain on the roadway behind Malone’s truck, along with various pieces of jewelry. Officials noted that Lewis was last seen at her home in Exeter early on the morning of November 25. Malone provided both verbal and written accounts regarding Lewis’ disappearance. However, due to discrepancies in his statements, authorities initiated a criminal investigation.

According to FOX 4, surveillance footage captured Malone’s vehicle arriving at Lewis’ residence shortly before midnight on Sunday, November 24, followed by sounds of screaming. The footage further shows Malone departing around 1:30 a.m. on Monday and returning shortly after 4 a.m.

to his return, Malone made a 911 call, as reported by FOX 4. The following day, authorities met with Malone, who indicated he would lead them to the location of Lewis’ body.

Her remains were discovered in a wooded area, concealed beneath leaves and sticks, and exhibited signs of severe head trauma. Court records reveal that Malone later confessed to an altercation and admitted to disposing of Lewis’s body.

He was arraigned in Barry County Court on Monday morning, where he pleaded not guilty. Malone is currently being held without bond at the Stone County jail. Lewis is survived by a young son and was remembered in her obituary as “a very spiritual person” who had a deep affection for animals and the outdoors.
