Alandis D Smith Obituary, Death; – A single-vehicle accident on Sunday night in Fayette County resulted in the death of one individual. The Alabama State Troopers have identified the deceased as Alandis D. Smith, a 29-year-old resident of Gordo. The incident occurred at 8:36 p.m. on Alabama 159, approximately five miles south of Fayette.
According to ALEA Lt. Jeremy Burkett, Smith was operating a Toyota Highlander when the vehicle veered off the roadway, overturned, and collided with an embankment. Burkett noted that Smith was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation is currently being conducted by the troopers.
