Veronica Robinson Obituary, Death; – A 65-year-old woman passed away on Thursday following a head-on collision on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Luzerne County, as reported by state police on Monday.
Veronica Robinson, a resident of Scranton, succumbed to the injuries sustained in the incident that occurred near the Wilkes-Barre Interchange in Bear Creek Township. She was a passenger in a Nissan Altima that was struck by a Subaru Crosstrek, which had entered the Turnpike in the wrong direction around 1 p.m., according to state police.
The northbound Subaru merged onto the Turnpike via the southbound deceleration ramp of the interchange and collided head-on with the southbound Nissan shortly thereafter, as stated by troopers.
Leslie Horoshko, the 82-year-old driver of the Subaru from Dallas, was cited for driving in the wrong direction, according to state police. Both Horoshko and the driver of the Nissan, Tatiana Robinson, 31, also from Scranton, sustained injuries and were hospitalized.
