Scott Morris,Elizabeth Fletcher Obituary, Death; – A tragic motorcycle accident occurred early Thursday morning in Fort Walton Beach, resulting in the deaths of a 28-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman.

The deceased individuals have been identified as Scott Morris from Destin and Elizabeth Fletcher from Valparaiso. The incident took place at approximately 12:30 a.m. at the intersection of Brooks Street SE and Waynel Circle SE.

According to the Fort Walton Beach Police Department, Morris and Fletcher were riding a motorcycle eastbound on Brooks Street when they collided with a cinder block mailbox, leading to the motorcycle igniting. Upon arrival, responding officers managed to extinguish the flames and attempted to render assistance to Morris and Fletcher, who were found on the ground.

Morris was declared dead at the scene, while Fletcher was transported to Florida HCA Fort Walton-Destin Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. The Traffic Homicide Unit of the Fort Walton Beach Police Department is currently investigating the incident.
