James D Cannedy Obituary, Death; – A two-vehicle collision occurred on Tuesday morning in rural Ouachita County, resulting in the death of a man from Bearden.
As reported in a preliminary fatal crash summary by the Arkansas State Police, a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado was heading south on US Highway 79, just north of Arkansas Highway 9 (in the vicinity of Eagle Mills), when it was struck from behind by a 2018 Dodge Ram. The impact caused the Chevrolet to veer off the left side of the road, where it collided with several trees.
The passenger in the Chevrolet, 69-year-old James D. Cannedy from Bearden, lost his life in the incident. The driver, identified as 78-year-old Jamie L. Williams, also from Bearden, was transported to OCHSNER LSU Health hospital in Shreveport, Louisiana, for treatment of unspecified injuries.
