Frank Lawrence Brantner Obituary, Death; – A fatal incident involving four vehicles occurred in New Canaan on Wednesday afternoon, resulting in the death of a man from Florida. The individual has been identified by state police as 85-year-old Frank Lawrence Brantner, a resident of St. Petersburg, Florida.
According to troopers, the collision took place on Route 15 north, just prior to exit 37, around 3 p.m. A Ford F-150 pickup was traveling in the right lane, while a GMC Sierra was positioned in the left lane.
The driver of a Kia Forte, the third vehicle involved, reduced speed behind the pickup. Brantner, operating a Lexus 350 RC, collided with the rear of the Forte. Subsequently, the Forte impacted both the pickup and the Sierra. The drivers of the pickup and the Sierra emerged uninjured from the incident.
The driver of the Forte sustained minor injuries and was taken to Norwalk Hospital for further evaluation. Brantner was found unresponsive at the scene and was later declared deceased at Norwalk Hospital, as reported by state police. Authorities are requesting that any witnesses to the crash reach out to state police.
